For a lot of teenagers (sometimes adult too) out there, acne is a major major problem, it is just so embarrass to look at and it usually comes during important dates (remember class picture day?) but thankfully acne is just a temporary problem but the scars from your acne can be a permanent problem, so today, I'll try to give you a few tips on keeping your skin nice and clean and scar free, or at least minimize chance of scars development.
- Treat the problem acne when it arise- one of the best way to avoid acne scar is to stop the acne problem before it gets too severe. Don't wait and see if the acne will go away by itself, start treating when you, ask a dermatologist for help if regular acne cream/medicine don't work for you.
- Don't try to destroy that pimple by forceful means- It might be very tempting, but popping pimples forces dirty bacteria deeper into the follicle, which might spread infection and worsen blemish. When you do aggressive scrubbing on your skin, it caused inflammation and can damage the skin's tissue, which extend the healing time of skin as well as causing a permanent scar, just try to resist the temptation and let it heal on its own.
- Are you prone to scars?- Some people scars more easily than others, if you are one that scars more easily, you should see your doctor and discuss this with him/her for a custom treatment.
- Consult with your doctor right away - if you get large, deep breakouts or cyst, these often leave deep, permanent scars because they cause infection and destroys skin tissue. Only a professional can help to treat acne of this severity. Quick effective treatment can help lower the chances of developing deep scars.
